Demo Protocol

  1. Need appropriate and approved testing site. Usually conducted at a fire training facility.
  2. Equipment. A fire pumper truck that holds 500 gallons of water is adequate.
  3. Manpower is needed to operate pumper and hose.
  4. Materials to burn for an effective demonstration should include:
    A table is needed to conduct initial table top demonstration
    1 - 2 cars
    15 - 20 tires
    10 - 20 wooden pallets
    1 old sofa or chair (to show protection capability)
    Diesel fuel & gasoline are also needed
  5. (4) 2 1/2 gallon water pressurized extinguishing units
  6. 2 airline tickets, hotel accommodations and transportation for FFW employees conducting demo
    (if demo is not within driving distance.)
  7. Date of test must be scheduled in advance.
  8. Examples of Organizations that should be invited to such a demonstration include.
